National Award of Excellence for Organizations Helping Persons with Disabilities

On May 16, 2019, the 6th conference of National Award of Excellence for Organizations Helping Persons with Disabilities took place in Beijing. President Xi Jinping met with representatives attending the conference at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. He commended 500 individuals and organizations that made outstanding contributions in helping the persons with disabilities and encouraged people to persistently support people with disabilities in China. During the conference, the Institute  for Accessibility Development, Tsinghua University, was titled the National Award of Excellence for Organizations Helping Persons with Disabilities. This was the first time for Chinese universities to win the award.
